In Accumulated Dreams, ninety-six words were selected inspired by three landscapes; mountain, ocean and prairie. Mesostic poems were written around each evoking a relationship to a specific place and what makes a place feel like home. They consider what it is that draws us some landscapes when others can leave us feeling alone, not in place but out of place. The poems were letterpress printed on individual pages strung together and paired with small handmade paper/wire sculptural shapes. The installation can vary from an enclosed triangular hanging form to an extended wall piece. A second version of this book has been bound as a ‘post-binding’ in an edition of 25. Individual poems rolled up and placed in a wire/paper basket are a take-away for visitors when exhibited.
